THE VARIOUS FORMS OF GIVING

  The ultimate giving of a Christian is the giving of tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:6-12). Tithing is a commandment that brings God's blessings in obedience and a curse in contrary.

       THE OFFERING: is another vital area of giving according to Gods commandment (deteruonomy16:16-17). Offerings should be made according to God’s blessing on our lives. (luke6:38). It is important to give willingly (Isaiah 1:19).

       WELFARE OFFERING: or giving to the poor is another form of giving (deteruonomy15:11) (proverbs19:17). Money given to the poor attracts the blessings of giving and obedience (proverbs 28:27).

       KINGDOM-DEMAND OFFERINGS/PROJECT OFFERINGS: are another arena for giving (haggai 1:3-14). (Exodus 35:4-10). (mark10:29-30). Anything given for the sake of the kingdom provokes return of a 100 fold.

        SACRIFICIAL GIVING: is another form of giving in the kingdom. It is giving that which cost u a lot or means a whole lot to you. (Psalm 126:5-6). (1samuel 7:9-10). Sacrificial giving provokes a swift response from God. (1king3:1-5). Abraham caused GOD to swear him a covenant by willing to sacrifice his only son Isaac and by reason of that sacrifice Abraham became the father of all believers and from his lineage came Christ(Galatians 3:29).

       SOWING IN FAMINE: is another form of sowing (gen26:1). Isaac sowed in famine and received a hundred folds.

       GIFTING TO PROPHETS: is another way of giving to honour God. (Matthew 10:41-42). (Genesis 27:2-4).(1king17:9-16). Giving to prophets is a show of love to God because prophets are the voice of God on earth. (Philippians 4: 13-19).
